2nd stop was First Presbyterian Church – Michael Herrin was our guide
3rd stop was Gemiluth Chassed Synagogue – Doug Lum was our guide
4th stop was Tallen Antiques then the group walked to Mississippi Cultural Crossroads
The final stop was Grand Gulf Military Park for lunch at the pavilion and the group toured the museum, outside buildings and the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church then we drove around the park.
Returned to the Chamber
While riding on the bus, I gave information on the history of Port Gibson and the old town of Grand Gulf and Mr. Jerome Williams gave them so many facts about the town and even the talked about the things he has learned from the “old folks” as he grew up and while driving the bus. The group enjoyed his input and I appreciated how professional yet personable he handled the tour group.
